Born in San Antonio, Texas.
Traditional and Digital media fine artist Gary-Paul Prince (aka Gary-Paul Barbosa Prince) is in fine art collections all over the US, Mexico, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, and Norway. He is one of the early “Mission School” artist emerging from the San Francisco Art Institute art scene in the late 1980’s. Engaged in creating work in a Pop-Surrealist style and also known as a political artist for his post 911 work, Prince has produced thought provoking and sometimes risque work that pushes the boundaries of social and religious issues. Prince is the founder of the INFERNO Gallery, an Oakland, CA fine art gallery known for displaying artwork by fringe artists deemed to edgy for the bay area’s fine art gallery scene. He has been involved in digital media publishing since 1990 and has worked with the world’s top digital artist, photographers, designers and videographers. He created the learning podcast network “Peachpit TV” for Pearson Technology group and continues to work in publishing. He currently resides in Oakland, CA.
